ug camp. was tiring duh. 3days 2nights(actually more of 2 days) of the hiongest NC times where got not hiong one. we did quite alot of stuff and suffered alot and laughed alot as well, so it was kind of a very bumpy ride... and den theres the lack of sleep and lack of energy and lack of confidence and lack of willpower but somehow, we managed to get past those three days. and im referring to the whole RVNC company. YAY! well done ppl. especially Bravo2! whoo!
ok so i shall start.
first day!
at roughly 2.30, bravo guys gathered. we were like, haunted expressions and all, coz its ug camp rite. so. i asked them," are u ready?" we looked at each other, never said anything. and so we fell-in. thats how it started. lol. drama. anyway, got our barang barang(belongings) and surrendered handphone, wallet etc. etc. to seniors then went to our bunks(2E class room) den separated into our platoon level. its like, ALL year 2s(guys +girls) split into two groups, Bravo 1 and Bravo 2. if ur smart enough, then u'll know i went into B2 loh. so. ya. consisted of me, gin teng, daniel, wan eu, yee yang, bon and some other guys and girls. i think had like, 18 or 19 of us. our PC was Sgt. Zhu Feng(ya... ):) and APC was Cpl Lee Qian Hui. She rawk! whoo! hadsome drills which was quite up to standard den icebreakers was this modified version of catching(ya know) which lightened the mood. den had some stuff, i forgot den had drills test. CPL was telling me quietly'eh! dont be timer liao la! ur doing very good already!' so ya. i gave the timing to them loh. anyway still have very long till i dont need my voice. so save it first. den, finish liao den i forgot again. :X i keep forgetting coz the days went by like a blur, so cant really rmb. ok. lets skip to the memorable parts. area cleaning. basically its cleaning the bunk. so we cleaned. and due to past experiences, we really wanted to clean up well. coz if not will pump until wan die. so, we did our best loh. and after only 2-3 times senior was really pleased with us. so he let us go bathe early, much much earlier than year1 and 3. that senior rawk to heaven man. we all love him. but obviously we must give him the standard first. so our spirits were really lifted up. and bathing was also another damn fun experience(due to the happy us). the guys totally stripped to the undies den they used this hose thing to bathe together, not in the cubical but outside in the toilet. and it was damn funnny la. but i went into cubical la. coz if i dont wash there properly will get fungus. lol. sorry. so. we went back and senior was like,"wah. they happy uh!" which made me happier somehow. lol. so. we went down to have our supper and that day(that day ONLY) the milo was delicious. and we slept at 12. thot long about my one and only before sleeping. told u all in my previous post that my one-and-only will get me through. second day.
woke up at 5.15 i think. not sure. didnt have my watch. i lost it. den, Bravo 2 vs. Bravo 1 tug-of-war. we won(DUH!) even though they had eesheng and zixuan. coz we got ginteng! hahas! so the score was 3-1. they did banana dance den breakfast i think. den forgot did what then we practiced arms drills. its just rifle drills la. very cool de, though its the most basic of all rifle drills. had rifle drill test which i think i screwed, den IFC test(individual field craft). basically its crawling with rifle, how to aim(yes there are specific methods) and so on. you can call it, soldier stuff. sounds weird... lol. i also thot i screwed for that one. den the IFC theory test. that one i was confident. coz i got tingke! yay! so. after that was lunch. den we went to lakeside park for orienteering. ok i shall explain whats that since no one understands. we are given 5, six-grid references of a certain place on the map and when we go there we have to find this piece of paper and on it there is a code. we copy it down and start finding the next one. my group had me and gin teng and jialiang. good rite. all the physically good ppl. wrong! we had to run from the top most corner of the park, to the bottom most corner. in no.4. and approx. 2-3km plus. jialiang had cramp so we didnt make it in time. but i dont blame him. coz after that both my legs cramped, and so did 3/4 of our platoon. lol. the girls got some drama den we headed home. den, i forgot. den it was field cooking. basically, its cooking some magge mee with fire and metal boxes and water. we didnt eat full enough(how could we?) and then it was candlelight night! its like those camp nights where everyone gets high and we put up peformances. gin teng totally owned the girls there with his dance moves. ya. and we were extras. lol. but anyway, we got high and staff qixin was much much MUCH higher. he screamed his shit out den the other seniors were like,'qixin high diao liao' 'ming tian qixin ken ding mei you sheng ying liao' and all that. so, after the high, we had bunk check where i was IC(in charge) for a period of time. it was very hiong and i was pumped like, idk? 100 like that? after that i found out theres actually a reason but due to reasons, i will not say. den we had a very meagre supper so everyone went to bed hungry. but we were looking forward coz its just one day left. slept at 12. had a sleepless night coz i kept thinking of HER. it mean like, this 2 days are like weeks for us leh! so how not to miss ppl. ): lol.
third day.
woke up at 5.30. damn tired. PT was hiong until shit. after 2.4km run we pump until xiao. my arm couldnt feel anything at all. den had breakfast which wasnt enough. and in the middle of eating me and ginteng and ee sheng and weiquan and wan eu and daniel and zixuan were called out. for best cadet drills test i think. i screwed a little... ohwell. den went to do 5 stations which we went through quite easily. den it was best cadet interview. before the interview we were quite happy-go-lucky with staff chuye. talked alot casusually with him, like i always do. den wai yuin came into the room also. not surprised. (: i have alot of hopes for him. so, during the interview, we were all very scared and nervous coz there were lots of... judges? i dunnno if that is what they can be called. ohwell. after that staff chuye and shereen told us it was ok... but sgt major qiao wei came and told us we screwed it real bad and she was very pissed and stuff. den, POP! passing-out-parade! which marks the end of camp. got our lance corporal! yay! went Mac to have lunch and went home and slept for 16hours. yay!
